By using CoordConv, you agree to these Terms of Service. They are intended to keep the product straightforward: a useful coordinate conversion tool with clear limits, especially for geospatial work where format accuracy and operational context matter.

1. Service scope

  • CoordConv is a free online utility for converting geographic coordinates between supported formats and for related map-assisted lookup features.
  • The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Features, supported formats, limits, and page content may change, improve, or be removed over time.

2. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for checking the correctness of the datum, projection, coordinate order, UTM zone, hemisphere, precision, and any downstream assumptions in your workflow.
  • You should independently verify results before using them for surveying deliverables, engineering work, legal boundaries, regulated reporting, or other high-consequence tasks.
  • You should only upload, paste, or process data that you have the right to use.

3. Restricted and high-risk use

  • Do not use the service as the sole source of truth for safety-critical decisions, including but not limited to aviation, maritime navigation, emergency dispatch, or life-safety operations.
  • Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, or use automated access in a way that harms availability or violates third-party provider terms.
  • Do not misrepresent the tool as certified, official, or suitable for use where a validated professional geospatial workflow is required unless you have completed your own independent verification.

4. Third-party services

  • Map rendering, address search, reverse geocoding, fonts, and related infrastructure may rely on third-party providers.
  • Your use of those features may also be subject to the terms and policies of the relevant providers.

5. Intellectual property and availability

The site design, branding, copy, and original tool implementation are owned by CoordConv or its licensors. You may use the public website for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, resell, or exploit the service in a way that exceeds applicable law or these terms.

We may suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service at any time, including to maintain reliability, comply with legal obligations, or respond to abuse.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoordConv disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
